Amidst her nation’s largest cholera outbreak on record, one health practitioner has found an oasis of hope amidst the turmoil.
Every day, Dr. Molide Lutfala ignores the rising death toll and does whatever she can to help those in need. Working within the Cholera Treatment Center in Liberia, she is devoted to using her expertise to improve the lives of her patients.
Since the outbreak began in August, cases of cholera have skyrocketed from 4,000 to a staggering 14,000. Despite the overwhelming need for medical care, Dr. Lutfala is emotionally and mentally prepared for the challenges she faces daily. Refusing to succumb to the distress, she uses her resources and relationships with members of the international community to improve the lives of Liberians.
In addition to providing medical care, Dr. Lutfala offers emotional support to those affected. With a contagious passion and determination, she has become a source of inspiration to those in the community.
When asked about her motivation, Dr. Lutfala stated, “I see hope even in the midst of this escalating crisis. Amidst the chaos, I have seen so much strength and resilience in my patients. I strongly believe that I play a major part in helping them overcome this tragedy.”
This influential health practitioner embodies the true effort and dedication needed to combat a pandemic. Dr. Lutfala is a living example of what can be achieved when a person is determined to make a difference in the lives of others. [ad_1]
