  • Twitter scrambles to resolve meltdown as quite a few unable to tweet – The Indian Specific

Twitter has been facing an outage for over 8 hours now and users from across the globe have been voicing their concern over the incident.

A number of popular Twitter accounts, including verified users such as Bollywood celebritites and journalists, have been affected by the outage. According to reports, multiple users have reported being unable to tweet or retweet anything, delete their tweets, or even access their timelines.

At the time of writing, Twitter engineer Kayvon Beykpour has tweeted that the company is “continuing to investigate and work on a fix” for the outage. There are certain indications that the company is experiencing “an internal configuration change” which could explain the prolonged outage.

This isn’t the first time that Twitter has faced such an issue. Back in July, the popular microblogging website experienced an outage which was reportedly due to an “internal system change”.

The current outage could not have come at a worse time for the company, with the upcoming US Presidential elections. Twitter has faced a lot of criticism in recent times, especially over its handling of certain controversial accounts on its network.

It remains to be seen how quickly Twitter is able to resolve this outage and restore its services in order to avoid further disruption. Until then, users are advised to be patient and await news from the company’s official channels. [ad_1]
