Today, the Pine and Lakes Echo Journal announced the news that an educational fund offering $1000 scholarships for disciplines related to engineering, robotics, and welding is now available.

The scholarship program, established by the Pine and Lakes Echo Journal and a major award sponsor, is available to students who are currently in their senior year of high school and plan to pursue a college education in engineering, robotics, or welding. The qualified applicants must demonstrate helpful leadership qualities, a strong academic record, and a deep interest in following the potential career paths that the aforementioned disciplines offer.

The scholarship program is designed to encourage individuals to pursue these high-demand and in-demand areas of study, counteracting the underrepresentation that the industries of engineering, robotics, and welding have seen in recent years.
